New features:
- Add Secure Shell (SSH) server for remote login. This is enabled by default.
- Lite command-line interface (CLI). To find the Lite CLI Reference Manual, visit https://www.netgear.com/support/, enter your model number in the search box, and click the Documentation button on the product page.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixes an issue where access to the switch sometimes fails when using protocol-based Auto-VoIP.
- Fixes an issue where device settings might be lost when multiple configuration changes are made concurrently.
Warnings:
Read and follow these warnings before updating a firmware version:
- We recommend against downgrading the firmware image to 6.0.8.x or earlier version after updating to 6.0.9.1 or later versions.
- Since HTTPS is disabled by default, the device’s Home UI page does not display automatically after using HTTPS to update to this firmware version. Open a new web browser tab and type the switch’s IP address to access the Home page.
- After HTTPS is enabled manually, accessing device UI via HTTP will be redirected to HTTPS automatically.
- Default community strings “Private” and “Public” for SNMPv1/v2 are not available in newer firmware. Set a different community string before updating the firmware.
- Authentication protocol for SNMPv3 automatically changes to “MD5” if the current setting is “None."
- The default setting for the Smart Control Center (SCC) Management option changes from enabled to disabled. Note: The SCC Utility can still discover the switch.
